Works on Paper > New Brooklyn Series

I have always had an interest in forms and structures--and recently their has been a revitalization of the neighborhood I live in--and surrounding areas.
These monoprints were made by cutting and tooling shards of metal hammered and then shaping each one to fit together. The objective was as much to play with this idea of shards of color and shape--as to represent the emerging new lines (and skyline)--of the urban landscape of Brooklyn, NY.
As always, each one is unique--inked and printed separately and represents my way of seeing the overlapping and connecting structures that make up this great city of Brooklyn.
