As a social worker, Brooklynite and an artist, I was delighted to have ten pieces of my art selected for permanent exhibition at the Atlantic Avenue community room at 1825 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn. This is an exceptional new development built by a leader in the field of housing and community development- Martin Dunn, of Dunn Development Corporation.
The facility is home to under-served, mixed-income families and middle-class families who together may enjoy an enhanced quality of life. This innovative initiative will serve many previously homeless people with psychiatric an developmental disabilities and services will include cutting-edge green technology, on-site social work services, a computer-room and playground for adolescents and children, and a beautiful children’s day-care facility. I am proud to be a part of this great addition to this vibrant community.
